Refresher Pathway Connect for Midwives

Welcome to the Refresher Pathway Connect for Midwives e-learning package.

The role of the midwife encompasses a range of attributes that are hard to quantify. It is a privilege to contribute to safe and effective maternity care for women and their families during this significant period in their lives. Women want their birth experience to be memorable and the care the woman receives can impact on the manner she cares for herself and her baby. The midwife can help make it a positive enriching experience.

The aim of the Midwifery Refresher Pathway is to offer you an opportunity to update skills and knowledge and gain ongoing employment within WA Health.

There are several ways of navigating the eLearning modules.  Hold your cursor over the links (these may be icons, photos or bolded titles). If they highlight, click to open the files. If an external link fails to open, type in the URL, topic or name into a Firefox, or Google Chrome search if it is a website, or a Google Chrome Scholar search if it is an article. This may save you some frustration and phone calls to the Pathway Coordinator. You may use the breadcrumbs at the top of the page, or the module titles in the column on the left of the page to navigate the modules. Apple Mac users will be able to access the program on Safari, and may download Google Chrome if required.

Access to the KEMH library (including off site access) has been organised for you, so you can utilise the facilities to search for journal articles, etc.
